Guards/Posts Skills Training – August 7th
Venom is hosting a Guard/Post training session on Monday, August 7th for boys 2nd – 8th grade! Players will be put in position specific drills that focus on the skills needed to be successful in that area.
Boys 2nd-4th Grade will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm
Boys 5th-8th Grade will be from 7:00pm to 9:00pm
Cost will be $20

Venom will have a great crew of trainers on hand. They include:
Sam Willard:
- Played for Pierre High School
- Collegiately at Pacific from 2007 to 2011
- NABC All-District Second Team
- All Big West First Team
- Averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds in senior year
- Currently playing in Japan with the Toyama Grouses from 2011-Present
Dwight Walker II:
- Played HS Basketball, was a guard at East Union High School in Manteca, California
- Played football from 6th grade through High School
- Attended Chabot Junior College in Hayward California
- Earned a football scholarship to Missouri Valley in Marshall Missouri (DB)
- Coached AAU boys basketball (16u) in California
Austen Hurley:
- Graduated from University of South Dakota (Bachelor’s Degree) and University of Northern Colorado
- Member of the 2009 undefeated Lincoln High School State Championship team
- Currently an Assistant Coach at Tea Area High School. Member of the Tea Area State Champion Coaching Staff. Currently coaching 1st season with South Dakota Venom
Jordan Boots:
- Played at Vermillion High School and averaged 26.0 points and 4.0 rebounds as a senior…scored 1,275 points for his high school career. Was a Class ‘A’ All-State player his senior year and earned All-Conference and All-Region awards.
- Played five years at the University of South Dakota where he played in 123 games for the Coyotes.
- Has coached for four years in youth basketball in the area along with three years at Tea Area.
